Fightings Predators, Pervs, Stalkers and Trolls We believe that everyone has the right to be left alone

Our expert team offers full-service justice to our crime victim clients. We negotiate NDA’s, get money, advocate for prosecutions, sue, petition for orders of protection, send cease and desists, remove content from the internet. Taking decisive action against an abuser is dangerous and can incite a horrible cascade of events if not done with expert care. So it is critical that clients choose lawyers experienced in full-service victims rights law to assess the risk of all legal options. Our team has represented thousands of victims, sent dozens of the worst offenders to jail, won tens of millions for our clients and fought for legislation around the country criminalizing revenge porn, sextortion and deepfakes, expanding statute of limitations for suing sex criminals, and creating new civil suits.

  • We handle non-consensual sexual contact or behavior. Everybody has the right to expect a life free from physical and sexual violence and assault. Unfortunately, some of us will encounter people who are capable of vicious cruelty. An act or acts of physical or sexual violence can overturn and devastate a person’s life. It can re-define it into the “before” and “after,” instigate feelings of shame and hopelessness, and cause withdrawal from friends and family, impacting education and employment.

We’ve recovered tens of millions of dollars for our clients  from their abusers. In some cases, through negotiations that don’t even require a public lawsuit.  And we’ve sent some of the most famous predators to jail.

Our work in New York State has increased the Statute of Limitations so that victims of sexual assault have far longer to sue.Learn how we can help: Sexual Assault

  • Stalking is repeated unwanted conduct directed at you by another person.  It is invasive, fear-inducing and illegal.

Carrie founded this firm on the concept that people have the right to be left alone after she was stalked by a vengeful ex.

Stalking is unmistakable and not subtle. If you don’t know if you’re being stalked, you aren’t.  Our clients have been stalked by some of the most obsessive and dangerous people who have used all sorts of anonymizing apps, emails, and VPNs to evade the police. In the most extreme cases, our clients’ stalkers have executed on creative plans to frame our clients for heinous crimes.  To date, nobody has gotten away with it. Just google Ian Diaz, Juan Thompson, Ryan Lin, David Waldman, Griffin Kapelus, Angela Diaz, Byron Cardozo, Joel Kurzynski, Oscar Juan Carlos Gutierrez, Brandon Andrew Clark, Harvey Weinstein, Dr. Stephen Matthews.

We’ve gotten over a dozen of our clients’ stalkers federally indicted and they’ve been sentenced to a collected 300+ years in jail.

Our team is also taking the lead so victims of stalking in New York can get an order of protection even if they aren’t related to the offender. Many of our clients are not just being stalked by their ex. But are celebrities and content creators stalked by megafans, therapists and doctors stalked by ex-patients, professors stalked by students, roommates stalked by roommates.

Stalkers can be obsessive and dangerous, dying for direct contact from their victim. Nobody should think they can handle it on their own without an experienced lawyer.

Our team of lawyers has succeeded in holding third parties liable when they’ve facilitated or turned a blind eye to stalking, such as at work and in residential buildings.

  • C.A. Goldberg was the first firm in the country to focus on the representation of victims whose naked images and sex videos were published online without their consent. Over the past decade+ we’ve represented thousands of victims. Gotten over a hundred thousand links, profiles, URLs and search engine results removed, gotten some of the biggest financial recoveries in the country for our clients, reformed criminal and civil laws throughout the country related to image-based abuse, pressured online platforms to ban revenge porn, demanded search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) from publishing search engine results, and reformed housing and employment laws to provide reasonable accommodations for victims of this crime.

We are experts at getting offenders to cease and desist, demanding the transfer of copyright to our clients, negotiating with porn companies, suing, negotiating for financial recoveries, getting accommodations from workplaces when the injuries impact the job, sending offenders to jail, and getting orders of protection to stop the spread.

We have gotten offenders fired, kicked out of school, and sent to jail and recovered millions of dollars for our clients from offenders, third parties, and even cellular phone companies that facilitated the crime.

Our clients are children and adults; including those who are being threatened online.Learn how we can help: Revenge Porn and Image-Based Threats

  • Nowadays, a person need not even have taken a naked picture to be a victim of image-based abuse via deepfakes.

The ways in which technology is impacting our lives is evolving on an almost hourly basis, and AI is at the forefront of this. While it has the potential to increase efficiency and make information more widely available, it also presents new risks, including the facilitation of intimate partner violence, child exploitation and harassment. AI can be used as a tool for stalking and impersonation. When it comes to child sexual abuse/exploitation and trafficking, we regularly sees cases of adult predators impersonating teens to target minors for grooming, sexual abuse, and trafficking.

Deepfake technology uses deep learning algorithms to create convincing fake images and videos. Almost as soon as deepfake technology was born, it was weaponized against women to create or mimic non-consensual pornography. Abusers already destroy lives by distributing intimate images or videos that were shared with the expectation of privacy (so-called ‘revenge porn’). Thanks to AI, abusers can carry out image-based abuse without ever having to receive an intimate image; they can just create one.

Our attorneys are at the forefront of fighting for deepfake regulation, having worked with the White House 2022-2024 on its AI Executive Order.  We also are pursuing litigation against the apps that enable deepfakes and the online distributors (App Store and GooglePlay) that sell those unreasonably dangerous products.

  • Abuse always involves control. It is never something that is deserved. The most dangerous time in a person’s life is when they leave an abusive relationship.

People stay in controlling relationships for many reasons. Some stay because as bad as the relationship may be, they are crippled by fear that the retaliation will be worse. They fear he/she will spread lies on social media, try to get them fired, turn friends and family against them, share secrets and naked pictures, threaten to kill him/herself. By the time some people are ready to leave a relationship, they may feel stuck because their partner controls the money and they are overwhelmed by the moving and housing costs of leaving. And it’s further complicated if kids and pets are in the picture.

Relationship abuse takes many forms. Just because physical force has not been used on you does not mean you are not suffering. One study found that emotional abuse is the greatest predictor of physical abuse and can be the most seriously dangerous form of abuse. Victims of emotional abuse are more likely to be suicidal and the abuser is more likely to commit murder or murder-suicide. They report feeling separated from their own life and a loss of identity because of all the changes they’ve made to dodge his outbursts — altering how they act, who they see, how they look, the opinions they express, the activities they enjoy, what they eat, the sex they have.

We help victims plan a safe escape when they are ready. We represent our clients in family court for orders of protection and civil court if they are seeking further compensation for the hell they endured.
