The New York City Council passed legislation that criminalized offenders of non-consensual pornography.
The “unlawful disclosure of an intimate image is punishable by up to 1 year in jail or a fine up to $1000, or both.” This law only applies to New York residents living in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, and the Bronx. It is not a state-wide bill.
