A passionate new voice in the fight to ban revenge porn is Representative John Lesch of Minnesota. He is spearheading a new state law and flew Chrissy Chambers and me in to talk to other stakeholders (lawmakers, representatives from the defense bar, victim advocates, etc.) about the dire need to offer this protection to women in Minnesota whose nude pictures are circulating on the Internet while the offenders bear no consequences. It was amazing to hear Chrissy captivating speech describing her experience as a victim, and also delightful to meet her Bria Kam, her business and love partner. The two of them are sirens of fire and action. Together, hopefully we got the message across that Minnesota needs a good strong inclusive law criminalizing nonconsensual pornography.(l-r Carrie Goldberg, Bria Kam, Chrissy Chambers, Rep John Lesch)
