Cross-jurisdiction advocacy provides relief for revenge porn victim

C. A. Goldberg, PLLC associates Annie Seifullah and Naomi Leeds advocated with law enforcement on behalf of a revenge porn victim who had been alerted to her naked photos, and full name, on online forum Reddit.

Here’s what our client said about her experience working with C.A. Goldberg, PLLC:

I was completely shocked when a stranger reached out to me one day, alerting me that my naked pictures were on Reddit, linked to my full name. My ex of two years had been distributing them online and sharing them privately with strangers on a messaging app. I was terrified that if these pictures kept circulating, I’d lose the dream job I had worked so hard to get and any future professional opportunities that I saw coming. I made police reports on my own, but it was a challenging situation to handle since there were various states involved, and I was left without any recourse.

I started searching for help with revenge porn, not finding any solution in my attempts to get help from law enforcement, and immediately found C.A. Goldberg, PLLC. I called the office and was quickly set up for a case evaluation, and within a week I became a client of the firm and worked with my attorneys, Annie and Naomi.

My attorneys got right to work on my case to explore all of my options within 3 jurisdictions involved, and they truly left no stone left unturned. It was so helpful to have Annie and Naomi’s expertise and support as they explained to me the different criminal violations involved and potential civil remedies. They worked directly with law enforcement, which ultimately resulted in a warrant against my ex. That means if he tries to enter my state, he could be arrested.

I am so grateful to the team at C.A. Goldberg for supporting me through this and helping me achieve peace of mind, knowing if he were to ever dare to come back around, I have a team behind me and there will be consequences. I can focus again on what’s most important to me – my career and my future in my industry.
