A VALENTINE’S DAY PUBLIC (NOT PUBIC) SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

There are lots of ways to get cheeky with your valentine without sexting actual cheeks (or more)!

Take note, the 20 percent of you who reported receiving sext messages, and the nine percent who reported sending sext messages, according to a recent Pew Research Report. This is up from 15 percent and six percent in 2012.

Want an even scarier statistic? Three percent of those surveyed also reported forwarding sexts, and from there, who knows where they go.  Can we repeat that?  Three percent of recipients of sexts FORWARD THEM.

Protect yourself. A stolen phone or hacked computer or untrustworthy recipient means those images could spread like fire on the Internet. So why not send Dove chocolates or 1-800-Flowers to your darling and save the hot stuff for in-person?
