As the deadline approaches, Survivors Law Project is launching a one-stop starter guide to support survivors through the process of deciding to seek justice under the Adult Survivors Act.
Taking legal action isn’t right for everyone, but we want you to understand this option while you still have time. The window to submit claims under the ASA ends on November 23, 2023. We’ll be rolling this toolkit out to the public, but we wanted you – our community – to be the first to hear about it!
The Adult Survivors Act (ASA) temporarily allows anyone who was sexually assaulted in New York at age 18+ to file a civil lawsuit against those who harmed them, or enabled them to be harmed, no matter how long ago the assault occurred.

YOUR TEAM
Carrie Goldberg and Susan Crumiller are law firm owners, best friends and survivors whose trailblazing firms each represent plaintiffs in sexual harassment and abuse litigation. In 2022, the firms teamed-up to create Survivors Law Project with the goal of providing excellent representation to those holding abusers accountable under the Adult Survivors Act.
Carrie and Susan each started their firms because they faced a problem in their own lives that they wanted to help others solve. Carrie’s abusive ex used technology to threaten her privacy and security; today, her firm C.A. Goldberg, PLLC fights Big Tech to make the internet safer for everyone. Susan’s ex- boss tried to screw her out of her maternity leave, and now Crumiller PC advances feminism and racial equality in both employment and healthcare.
Carrie used the ASA to hold a man who raped her accountable.
Modeled after New York’s Child Victims Act, the Adult Survivors Act (ASA) temporarily revives all expired civil claims of sex abuse committed against those who were 18 or older when the abuse took place. The ASA “lookback window” opened in November 2022, for a period of one year only. Click below to schedule a free consultation to learn about your options.
