Live studio interview at Pix11 about the laws in place for victims of revenge porn. My co-interviewee disappointed me with her message to viewers advising them against taking and sharing intimate images in the first place.  The fault lies not with victims, but with offenders.  There is nothing inherently wrong with adults in trusting relationships to choose to express their intimacy digitally.  There IS something wrong with sharing without permission.  It’s an issue of sexual consent.

At commercial break, somebody (not naming names) told me that both parties (victim and offender) share culpability.  Unfortunately this person’s attitude is shared by many.  However, there’s no moral or consequential equivalence between the parties’ respective acts.
